Heather Sisson

Organizations and Well-Being Lead

Heather Sisson is a life-long Pierce County resident with deep roots in executive sales and marketing leadership within the food sector. For over two decades, she led teams for an ingredient manufacturer, selling products throughout the United States and internationally into grocery stores, restaurants, craft stores, bakeries, foodservice establishments, and distributors; while influencing bakery food design.

In 2018, she shifted her focus to supporting the local woman- and minority- owned businesses and nonprofits. Applying her expertise in strategy, planning, sales, and marketing, she helped these organizations achieve sustainable growth, expand into grocery and other sectors and advance their missions through targeted branding, websites, and outreach.

Outside of work, Heather helps create welcome and belonging with asylum-seeking, refugee, and immigrant neighbors across Pierce County. Her faith guides her and she enjoys time with family, in community, hiking, and running.

My Power 9

“My favorite Power 9® is Positive Pack. I have seen the profound importance of having a connected community in and out of every season. This is especially true in doing life with neighbors from many nations, where mutual support shapes how we live, grow, and flourish as a community.”
