Blue Zones Project Approved™ Grocery Stores

Grocery stores subtly but significantly influence our food decisions, from the types of foods offered to where products are placed throughout the store. Case in point: About 60 percent of the food we purchase is highly processed, fatty, salty, or sugary—and many of those types of items are given prime shelf space where they’re more difficult to avoid. The grocery stores below are Blue Zones Project Approved™ for their efforts to give their customers more ways to make healthier choices.

Blue Zones Project Parkland-Spanaway
Join us on February 21st to volunteer with @tacomahabitat & bring affordable homeownership to our community! 🏡For this month's volunteer opportunity, we'll be supporting Habitat for Humanity's Home Renovation Project! This project is dedicated to updating and converting 80 single-family rental homes in the area into units of affordable homeownership! 🛠️This time around, we're looking for 8-10 community members to join us in Spanaway on Saturday, 2/21 from 9am - 1pm! We'll be pouring love into one of the many homes that will be available to Parkland and Spanaway residents soon!🔗 Want to come volunteer with us?
